Healthy Work Environment

Identify at least one HWE priority in GPC membership.  Provide at least one program/intervention to target needs from assessment.

·     Crucial conversation presentation at Advanced Preceptor conference

·     Survey membership on HWE challenges / nurse managers

 
Beacon Award

At least one unit in the greater Portland area will attain a Beacon Award in 2010 - 2011.

 

·     Act as consultant/ facilitator/ mentor regarding Beacon Award to affiliated units with questions

·     Recognize units who have attained Beacon within the past year at the Critical Care Symposium

·     Socialize/Promote/Educate Beacon Award in GPC activities

Value of Certification GPC will increase the number of AACN-certified GPC members (CCRN, PCCN, CCNS, etc.) by 10% by June 2011.

·    Recognition of certified members through separate certification celebration

·    Recognition of certified members at Critical Care Symposium

·    Contribute to literature base through publication

·    CCRN/PCCN Review courses x 2 in 2010-2011

·    Offer presentations to meet recertification criteria for CCRN/PCCN

Professional Development  GPC will continue to offer educational opportunities throughout the year to meet the needs of the membership to advance nurses from novice to expert.

·     Survey membership for learning needs assessment

·     Critical Care Consortium

·     Critical Care Symposium- goal 600 attendees

·     Advanced Preceptor Conference – goal 500 attendees

·     Member Dinner

·     Member Breakfast

·     Leadership Offering
